so, i guess it really isn't a "mess" but it's still fucking awesome, is it not? it cost me just over a hundred dollars, so it should be fucking awesome.

nice! i love the cut, too. i always thought it was amazing how much having different colors of hair affected my mood. do you feel different?
thanks and i definitely feel more confident - i mean, you have to have some balls to walk around with bright blue hair - and my moods have been more stable since having blue hair.
and i never knew you dyed your hair; what colors?
i guess i haven't done it in a few years. i'm pretty sure james and i had dyed hair together in the early days of our relationship but maybe never when we came to visit. i've done almost every color...personally i really like fire-engine red. i've also done hot pink, bleach blonde, blue and green and i think purple and black. i love the color green but having green hair didnt make me feel that great. the rest i liked. i also used to have a mohawk and after that a shaved head. did you know that?
sometimes i miss them but now that i have a few grey hairs it makes me really value the natural color that i have and think if i did something crazy like that, what would my hair be like by the time it could grow out long and natural colored again? but i don't know, i will probably do something weird to it eventually. i have really bad split ends anyway, so i need to do something.
i knew about the mohawk from 43things, but i didn't know you shaved it! awesome...
one of my friends from last year had hot pink for the first half of the year and bright red for the second half (i loved both of the colors) and i've only seen purple as the underside of dark hair. that's so wierd about the green, though, since it's one of the more "natural" colors, i would think it would make you feel better. good to know, though.
my hair is really wierd because it got bleached four times, and it's still pretty healthy, so i'm hoping the effects of touching up the ends throughout the summer won't be too bad.
i think green might depend on your skin tone or something. i thought i would love it, but like a lot of the cool range of colors i found that it did something weird to my coloration. i'm usually pretty pale and even the blue and purple kind of accentuated that, but that was ok, pale is not necessarily bad. i felt like green gave me a kind of sickly tinge. maybe i just had trouble getting in touch with my inner plant.

blue was my favorite of my dye jobs...
i've been really itching to cut my hair... some way or other... but i'm inclined to wait the year out... we'll see...
